It was established on the 24th October 1970. It provides shelter to destitute orphan boys and girls. Although the strength was only 25 at the time of inception, it grows to 250 in 2010. Inmates are given free modern quality education up to P.G level. There is arrangement to provide vocational education and training to the students. Modern facilities for sports and games are provided. Care is taken to inculcate cultural and moral values
HM ORPHANAGE INDUSTRIAL TRAINING CENTER
It was established in 1979 to provide vocational education and training to the students concerned. It offers short term and long term vocational training courses. Certificate courses in five NCVT affiliated trades, namely, Draughtsman (Civil), Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Plumber, and Interior Decoration & Designing are provided. Besides these, KGCE and NIOS courses are also offered. Priority is given to orphanage inmates in matters of admission and training. Attempts are being made to make the students equip themselves with modern specialized training required in the labour market demanding higher levels of skills.
